The philosophy of foot reflexology is based on the fact that there are zones on the foot that are connected to the entire body and reflect individual parts of the body and organs.
If the function of an organ or part of the body is disturbed, the associated reflex point on the sole of the foot can react painfully to pressure. The therapist's job is to find sensitive areas on the foot and initiate the body's own regulation through specific pressure massages.
By massaging certain zones on the foot, the part of the body or organ that is reflected in the sole of the foot is stimulated. This can have a positive effect on the respective body area or organ. In addition, deep relaxation of the entire body is usually achieved.
To obtain an optimal result, 6-12 sessions are recommended. Depending on the customer's needs.
This form of therapy must not be used in case of:
- Infection or fever
- Acute inflammation (of systemic or local origin)
- Local skin and nail infections on feet
- Neoplasms, metastases
- Hardening of the arteries in the foot and leg
